Registered Psychologist
BSc, MEd

We can often feel alone, ashamed or confused when we are struggling and wonder what to do in these painful moments. Krista takes pride in being your team-mate through this process. As someone who has experienced life’s unexpected curve-balls along with the grief, distress and joy that can come along with them, Krista strives for her clients to feel unconditionally supported in therapy sessions. Krista is a warm, compassionate therapist who ensures therapy feels like a safe, comfortable space rather than something that is intimidating. Krista uses a person centered approach with a healthy sprinkle of humour to help you navigate life’s difficult times and work towards the changes you are hoping for.

Krista has over 6 years of experience of helping adolescents and adults with a variety of presenting concerns. Krista especially enjoys working with individuals aged 12 and up. She has specialized experience working with teens who struggle with relationship challenges, anxiety, anger or behavioral concerns, body image/self esteem concerns, self-harm, substance or technology addictions, and trauma. Additionally, Krista has a passion for providing therapy to parents who are wanting extra support or wondering about parenting strategies to help their adolescents.  Krista integrates several evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and has training in Clinical Hypnosis.

Krista is a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She completed her Master of Education in Counselling Psychology degree from the University of Alberta in 2018 and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta in 2015.
