Registered Provisional Psychologist
BSc, MSc

Isn’t it funny how all the stress in life seems to love to doggy-pile up on you all at once? Leading you to feel overwhelmed and unable to cope? Does it feel like you sometimes just can’t seem to “catch a break” in this rollercoaster we call life? Life can feel unreasonable sometimes, and this can leave us feeling disempowered, helpless, and a whole lot of complicated and difficult emotions. However, Maria is here to help create a warm and nonjudgemental environment to explore and work through some of your toughest times. With warmth, some humor, and a whole lot of humanity, she is here to get to know you, as a person, first.

Maria brings in over eight years of mental health experience in assessment, treatment, and evaluation across the lifespan, derived from a variety of clinical and research roles. Maria takes a person-centered approach in her therapeutic work and incorporates Solution-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioural, and mindfulness elements in her approach. However, recognizing the unique individuality of each person, therapy sessions are always tailored to suit your needs.

Maria is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She completed her Master of Science in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2022, and her Bachelor of Science Degree with a Psychology specialization from the University of Alberta in 2016.
