FAQ: FAQ

How long does each therapy session take?

A 1 hour appointment includes a 50 minute counselling session plus 10 minutes for documentation.

How much does therapy cost?

Rates are based on the recommended fee schedule set out by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA). Sessions are charged at $220/hour.

How much does a massage cost?

Cost will depend on the length of your massage. Rates are posted on our booking site. We do offer a one time special rate for all new clients.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

This only applies to psychological services. We do offer a negotiated rate for people with limited finances. This can be discussed at intake.

Do you offer direct billing?

Yes, we offer direct billing to many insurance companies including Alberta Blue Cross, ASEBP, Green Shield Canada, Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, NIHB, and many more. Please contact us to see if we can direct bill to your insurance company. Also, it is your responsibility to double check with your insurance company to see if they cover the therapist you would like to see.

For counselling, you do not need a doctor's note before seeking services.

For massages, many benefit plans will require a doctor's note. It would be beneficial for you to upload or send your doctor's note to your insurance company before seeking services to ensure a smooth transaction.

What forms of payments do you accept?

Payment can be made via Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Cash, or e-Transfer and is expected at the start of each session.

What do I do if the doors are locked?

The doors are usually locked after 5pm and on weekends for security purposes. If the doors are locked, don't worry! Your therapist will be right down to open the doors for you as soon as they are available. Thank you for your patience.
