About Heather
Are you feeling lost and alone? Whether you're struggling with something from your past or unsure how best to move forward, Heather will meet you where you are with warmth and compassion. Heather believes her role as a therapist is to join you on your journey and shine a light into the darkness so you can choose your own path forward. Her approach provides people she works with a soft place to land and a space to work together to find ways to heal.
Heather specializes in working with grief and loss, and works with adults of all ages experiencing diverse issues including grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. She relies on a strength-based and client-centered approach to therapy, incorporating ideas from Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered/Humanistic Therapy, Existentialism, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Heather is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologists' Association of Alberta. She completed her Master of Counselling degree from City University in Canada in 2023, where her research focused on understanding asexuality. She has completed additional training in grief, trauma, and working with neurodiverse individuals.
